The book I'm reading is called The Pact. The topic of this book is important because it helps kids see that dreams can come true no matter what your situation is. Growing up on the ruff streets of Newark George Jenkins, Rameck Hunt, and Sampson Davis know that dreams of getting off the streets and making something of themselves is really a big joke. The three of them meet in high school were they make a pact to fulfill their dreams of becoming doctors. Through the course of the book they face challenges like peer pressure, drugs, and even jail. When one of them is struggling and is about to go back on the pact the other two friends help pull their friend through. The Pact is an inspirational story about three young men who didn't give up and made their dreams come true.
